“InsideOut” by C.L.A.S.S. — the eco-hub founded in 2007 by Giusy Bettoni — is a cultural and operational platform launched in November 2025 in Milan to drive change within the fashion and design system. Consorzio Detox supports InsideOut by C.L.A.S.S. as a sponsoring body, alongside numerous other institutions of the Italian fashion system.
InsideOut is a cultural movement that aims to highlight the positive values within the textile production supply chain.
Its objectives include promoting responsible innovation in the fashion sector and providing consumers with concrete tools to understand product quality through a tracked and controlled supply chain.
The heart of the project is, in fact, the Decalogue of Values, which moves beyond a purely aesthetic evaluation to assess garments based on 10 fundamental parameters:
Ethics, Environment, Health, Production, Dyeing and Finishing, Traceability and Transparency, Circular Economy, Design, and Ingredients.
As mentioned above, the Decalogue of Values is the beating heart of the campaign, turning invisible principles into conscious everyday choices.
This practical guide tackles the complexity of fashion through key pillars such as ethics, health, and the environment, emphasizing transparency and traceability across the entire supply chain. From the choice of yarns and fabrics to design, all the way to dyeing and finishing processes, each point of the decalogue serves to give a voice to the responsible production that guarantees the true value of our wardrobe.

The InsideOut campaign has chosen an emblematic subtitle: “Trust is the new luxury”, referring to the importance of restoring a climate of trust among final consumers toward the textile supply chain, particularly the Italian one.
For this reason, it enjoys the support of high-level institutions and organizations, including Confindustria Moda, Confartigianato Moda, the Municipality of Milan, Symbola Foundation, Milano Unica, Lombardy Region, R Collective, and Slow Fiber. These are joined by international and industry partners such as the British Fashion Chamber of Commerce and Camera Buyer, with the support of Lifegate as a media partner.
Communicating the complexity of the supply chain to the final consumer is a difficult but necessary challenge, born from two fundamental motivations.
Firstly, the current market suffers from a serious lack of communication regarding the values and true meaning of a “good” supply chain. Products arrive on the market without clear indications regarding their production.
This lack of traceability creates enormous damage: without communicating internal values, an ethical and sustainable garment is perceived by the consumer (and sometimes even by buyers) simply as an “overpriced” product, ending up being discriminated against compared to garments of lesser ethical and qualitative value.
The second reason lies in recent scandals related to illegal labor hiring (caporalato) that have hit the luxury sector. These dramatic events have generated a deep sense of distrust among consumers. This disillusionment often pushes the market toward so-called “democratic fashion” (fast fashion), which in reality has very little that is democratic.
Without the tools to distinguish a virtuous supply chain from one based on exploitation, consumers end up making their choices based solely on price.
The “InsideOut” project is fully aligned with the values of Consorzio Detox. The message we promote for a clean supply chain finds a perfect sounding board in this cultural and operational platform. For this reason as well, back in February, we hosted a presentation by Giusy Bettoni during the CID 2026 annual assembly.
Parameters of the Decalogue such as “Health,” “Environment,” and “Dyeing and Finishing” are the exact translation of our commitment. Being part of this network means affirming that the true quality of a garment necessarily depends on respect for people and ecosystems.
