Consorzio Detox, Istituto Europeo di Design e Greenpeace Italia insieme per The time is now! New Citizen 1.5

Capsule collections with sustainable fabrics by CID companies

Consorzio Detox, Istituto Europeo di Design and Greenpeace Italia together for The time is now! New Citizen 1.5.

The eco-friendly fashion supported by Detox companies

The project was born in 2018 and, in September 2020 during the Milano Fashion Week, the 7 capsule collections designed by Ied students were shown.

The sustainable collections of clothes and accessories have been made with fabrics supplied by some companies belonging to Consorzio Detox. These textile producers were selected for their virtuous processes of environmental protection: Berto Industria TessileLanificio Bellucci, Lanificio Europa, Manifattura Emmetex, Miroglio Group, Texmoda Tessuti, and Toscofilati.

The outfits to guide sustainable behavior

During the press conference was presented The time is now! New Citizen 1.5 short film, too. A documentary directed by Daniel Fazio, creative director of Loft Films Ltd.
The film was realized during the lockdown months and shows IED students engaged in the realization of this sustainable fashion project.

Two years after its launch, and with the advent of Covid, the project The time is now! shows, even more, its relevance and the importance of its further development. How? By demonstrating that individual citizens, including through the choice to wear sustainable clothes, can contribute to reducing the impact of their activities on nature.

Detox e IED insieme per il progetto The Time is Now

Male fashion collections with a reduced environmental impact

The students, coming from all over Italy but who have created the collections at a distance because of the lockdown, have elaborated seven ideas of citizens of the future. Each of these ideas has been transformed into as many sustainable collections: In/out, Private nature, Business Artist, Nomad, Urban Flow, The dance of the bees, and Synopsis.

The companies belonging to Consorzio Detox, which supported the project, have contributed with their fabrics to create sustainable fashion projects, accompanied by the concept of objects and accessories designed for the Green Market of Greenpeace.
